Best Season for Ghorepani poonhill Trek

The best time to do the Poon Hill trek is from March to May, and September to November. In these months, the weather is clearer and the temperature moderate, when only the morning and evenings are a bit chilly, leaving the days perfectly clear for splendid views of the mountains. May is the month when the rhododendrons are in full bloom.

Itinerary

Take an early flight to Pokhara then drive to Nayapul. And you will start our trekking from Nayapul. During the trek, we pass many green hills, rivers, and villages. Then you have to cross the Tikhedunga Khola on the suspension bridge. The trail begins to climb up quite steeply on a stone staircase. After climbing the hill, you will reach Ulleri Village from where you can see Mt. Annapurna south (7219m.) and Hiunchuli (6441m.). Overnight stay at the Ulleri village. You have to walk for around 4 hours today.
Today you will walk in the jungle most of the day. If you come in the spring, you will see a lot of Rhododendron flowers. You have the chance to see a lot of wild birds and animals. You can see a great view of many snow-capped mountains. Today's trail is very pleasant. You have to trek for around 5 hours to reach Ghorepani.
View from Ghorepani You will get up early in the morning with warm clothes and climb up Poonhill. It is not necessary to take much with us as we return later to collect our bag. It is about one hour walk to get to Poonhill. You will see the best sunrise and magnificent view of the Himalayas like Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Lamjung Himal, Mt.Manaslu ranges, Machhapuchre (Fishtail), Annapurna South, Bahari Shikhar, Hiuchuli, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri ranges, Tukuche peak,  and others mountains. Poonhill After this unforgettable view, you will come back to Ghorepani for breakfast. Then trek to Ghandruk. The hike starts with quite a steep uphill section to Deurali pass. It is a similar elevation to Poonhill. We will see all the mountains from here as well. After that, we hike down to Tadapani. We continue to hike to Ghandruk through the Baisi Kharka (Buffalo pasture).  Sunrise from Poonhill Ghandruk is one of the biggest villages of the Gurung people. There is the Gurung Culture Museum. We can go and see the way of life of the Gurung people. From this village, we can still see views of snow peaks. You have to trek for around 7 hours to reach the beautiful Ghandruk village. Stay overnight there at a well-maintained guest house.
You can see Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchre (fishtail), and Annapurna III very close and have your breakfast with views. You have to walk to Syauli Bazar from Ghandruk. It takes a maximum of 2 hours of trek. From Syauli Bazar, you can reach Pokhara by a 2-hour drive. Overnight at your hotel in Pokhara.
You can take a flight to Kathmandu from Pokhara at midday. Overnight stay at your hotel in Kathmandu.
