Manaslu Circuit Trek

Manaslu Circuit Trek is surely a unique and very beautiful trek in Nepal. Mount Manaslu is the eighth highest peak(8160m) in the world. Mount Manaslu lies in Gorkha District. Manaslu Circuit Trek provides you the breathtaking view of mountains like:Mount Ganesh, Mount Sringi, Mount Lamjung, Mount Himlung and many other mountain ranges.

The entire trail lies under the conservation area. While trekking in Manaslu Circuit trail you can see Rhododendron forest, 110 species of bird,1800 species of plant and 36 species of animals like: musk deer,snow leopard, himalayan thar and many other natural wild beauties and sceneries. People in these regions are very humble and provide you as much as help and cooperation.

Trek seasons

The pre and post monsoon season during the months of March to May and September to October is the most favourable time because of the good weather and temperature,which is also considered as the best trekking time. During the mid-winter season in the month of late December to February, Larkya La Pass is closed because of heavy snow which makes it impossible to go through the pass. The months of June,July and August are the monsoon season when you can experience greenery everywhere and see a massive number of big and small waterfalls throughout the trail and could also be difficult due to sudden rain.

Fees and Permit

For Manaslu Circuit, a single person is not allowed to trek. You must be in a group of at least 2 to 3 people. The permit cost US$ 70 to a single person for a week and after 7 days, per person per day cost US $ 10. The entry permit for Manaslu Circuit Trek can be issued at Nepal Tourism Board, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.

Itinerary-Manaslu Circuit Trek

Day1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Pickup at the airport.

Day2: Sightseeing Kathmandu and trek preparation

Today, you can visit Swyambhunath stupa, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square and can buy or rent the trekking gear.

Day3:Drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola(700m)

It will take around 9 hours to reach Soti Khola. (Gongabu Buspark-Arughat-Sotikhola)

Day4:Soti Khola to Machha Khola(900m)

From this day, trek is started. It will take around 6 hours to reach Machha Khola.

(soti khola-Gurung/Ghale village-Nyali Khola-Machha Khola)

Day5: Machha Khola to Jagat(1340m)

You have to trek for 6-7 hours.

(Maccha Khola-Gurung village-Tatopani-Doban-Yaruphant-Cantilever bridge)

Day6:Jagat to Pewa(1600m)

You have to trek for 6 hours.(Jagat-Salleri-Sirdibas-Philim-trail junction to Pewa)

Day7:Pewa to Namrung(2630m)

You have to trek for 7 hours.(Pewa-Deng-Bihi Phedi-Ghap-Namrung)

Day8:Namrung to Lho(2957m)

You have to trek for 4-5 hours.(Namrung-Lihi-Sho-Lho)

Day9:Lho to Samagaon(3540m)

(Lho-Shayala-Sama Gaon)

Day10:Acclimatization Day

Day11:Sama Gaon to Samdo(3865m)

You have to trek for 4-5 hours.(Sama Gaun-Budhi Gandaki-Kani-Samdo)

Day12:Samdo to DharmaSala(4460m)

You have to trek for 4-5 hours.

Day13:Dharmasala- Larkya la Pass(5160m)-Bimtang(3590m)

Today, you have to walk for a total of 10 hours. Dharmashala to Larkya la pass takes around 6 hours and to Bimtang around 4 hours.

Day14: Bimtang to Tal(1700m)

You have to trek for around 8-9 hours.

(Dudh Khola-Karche-Gurung gaon-Tilije-Dharapani-Tal)

Day15:Tal to Kathmandu

It will take around 10 -12 hours to drive to reach Kathmandu.

Day16:Exploring  Kathmandu

You can visit Pashupatinath temple, Bouddhanath stupa and Budanilkantha today. We will have cultural dinner together. We will have dinner together before departure.

Day17:Final Departure
